Job Responsibilities

KTH is now looking for three engaged financial administrators for the finance department. One position will be placed in the financial group that supports the School of Architecture and the Built Environment, and two positions in the financial group that supports the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The role of financial administrator plays an important part in supporting the school's economists in their daily work and, in turn, the school's institutions and departments in managing grant and funding-financed projects.

The position offers the opportunity to develop and take on greater responsibility within the organization.

The work includes tasks such as:

• Compiling documentation for audits
• Collecting and structuring documentation (mainly time reports) for our EU-funded projects
• Managing and following up on requisitions
• Register maintenance
• General ledger postings
• Compiling documentation for customer invoicing
• Managing travel grants
• Reconciliations and other tasks that occur in a finance department

Qualifications

Requirements

• Economics at the high school level or other education and/or work experience that we assess as equivalent
• Communicative ability and willingness to collaborate
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form – both languages are required in daily work as we operate in an international environment
• Good knowledge of the Office suite, specifically Excel.

To succeed in this role, you are a responsible person who has the ability to drive your work forward and perform your tasks within a certain timeframe. You work with quality awareness and enjoy planning and structure but are also interested in improvement work and development. You communicate clearly and can work both independently and in a team. Since you will be working in a finance team and supporting your colleagues, it is important that you have a good sense of service and find it easy to collaborate with others. As a person, you are engaged and unpretentious in your demeanor.

To succeed in the role of an economist, you need to be independent, structured, quality-conscious, and service-oriented. Additionally, you need to have pedagogical insight and thrive in an environment with many points of contact and varied tasks.

Meritorious

• Experience in supporting project economists and EU economists with administrative tasks within grant-funded projects
• Experience working in business systems (e.g., Agresso, SAP, or similar)
• Relevant work experience from a university, college, or other research-intensive organization
